Markets on the Sunshine Coast
11 markets on the Sunshine Coast, within 40km of the centre.
The Sunshine Coast runs one of the better weekly market circuits in Queensland, and it splits fairly cleanly between coast and hinterland. The coastal markets lean towards produce, prepared food and an early start. The hinterland markets, up around the Blackall Range, are more about crafts and makers and are worth the drive for that reason rather than despite it.
Early is not optional here
Queensland heat sets the schedule. A 6am or 7am start is normal on the coast, and the good produce is gone well before the middle of the morning. If you are going for a specific grower rather than a wander, treat the opening time as the plan rather than the outer limit.
Summer storms are the other local factor, and outdoor markets occasionally cancel at short notice through the wet months.
