For market organisers

Your market, listed right. Free.

People find local markets by searching and land on a council PDF from a few years ago. Claim your LocalMarketSpot listing and the hours, map pin and links they see come from you.

No account, no fees. A person checks every change.

What your listing does

Every market page is built around the questions visitors ask before they get in the car.

  • Hours that match how you actually trade

Weekly, fortnightly, second Sunday of the month. We turn your pattern into plain opening hours and a "next trading day" date visitors can trust.

  • On the pages people check on a Friday night

Markets with a set schedule show up on our On today and This weekend pages, city by city.

  • A map pin at your gate

We pin your actual site, not the middle of the suburb, so directions take people straight to you.

  • Your links, and a calendar button

Website, Facebook and Instagram sit on your listing. Visitors can add your next market day to their calendar in one tap.

  • Answers before they ask

Entry fee, market type and accessibility are on the page, so fewer of the same questions land in your inbox.

  • Readable by Google

Every listing carries structured data that search engines use to show opening hours and location.

How claiming works

  1. Find your market

Search the directory by name or suburb. Not there yet? Add it instead.

  2. Press "Claim this listing"

The button is on every market page. Tell us what should change and how you are connected to the market. Photos welcome.

  3. A person checks it

We verify the details and publish, usually within a few business days, then email you when it is live.

Growers, night stalls, vintage rails

We list every kind of market. Yours goes in the right shelf so the right people find it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to list or claim a market?
No. Listing a market, claiming it and correcting it are all free, and you do not need to create an account.
Who can claim a listing?
The organiser, the committee or council team that runs the market, or someone they have asked to look after it. We may email you to confirm the connection before publishing changes.
How long do changes take to go live?
Usually a few business days. A person reads every submission before it is published, and we email you once it is up.
Our market has closed or moved. What happens to the page?
Tell us through the same claim form. A market that has closed for good keeps its page with a clear notice, because people still search for it by name. A move is just a new address and pin.
Can I add photos?
Yes. Attach them to the claim or submit form. Use photos you took or have permission to share.
Do you take stall bookings or charge stallholders?
No. LocalMarketSpot is a directory, not a booking service, and stall applications stay with you. Tools for stall applications are something we are exploring, and organisers who register interest will hear first.
