Margaret River Farmers Market was created in 2002 by the Margaret River Regional Producers Association, a deliberate move to give the region's small-batch growers and makers a direct, dedicated platform rather than relying solely on wholesale or retail channels. More than two decades on, that founding purpose still defines the market every Saturday morning.

A national award-winner built on small producers

That focus on genuine small producers has paid off in a big way. In 2018, Margaret River Farmers Market won the Delicious Awards for Most Outstanding Farmers' Market in Australia, national recognition against every other regional and city market in the country. More than 80 stalls now trade here, covering organic vegetables, artisan cheeses, fresh-baked bread, local honey, olive oils and, fittingly for the region, Margaret River wines.
