Swan Hill Farmers' Market
A first-Sunday market in Riverside Park on the Murray River, with a twilight market each December.

About this market
Swan Hill Market is held on the first Sunday of the month at Riverside Park, on the banks of the Murray River, from 9am to 1pm. Its organisers say the market exists to support local businesses, farmers, artisans and musicians, to provide a marketplace for trade, and to attract tourists.
Art, produce and a December twilight market
Stalls offer art, handmade goods and produce, with live music performances through the day. The market also fundraises for the We Believe in Unicorns Inc charity, so it works as a community event as well as a place to shop.
December is different from the other months. The 2026 market is a special twilight market on Saturday 5 December, from 4pm to 9pm, rather than a Sunday morning. The organisers' calendar already lists dates into 2027, starting with 3 January and continuing on 7 March, 4 April, 2 May and 6 June.

Before you go
The 2026 morning markets run on 5 July, 2 August, 6 September, 4 October and 1 November, always from 9am to 1pm. Check the market's website calendar for the current dates, because the December twilight market and the gaps in the 2027 list show that the pattern is not strictly monthly.
Swan Hill is a city on the south bank of the Murray River, downstream from the junction of the Loddon River, and had a population of 11,508 at the 2021 census. Explorer Thomas Mitchell named it on 21 June 1836 after camping beside a hill, and a punt crossing was operating by 1846. The post office opened on 1 February 1849, and in September 1853 Francis Cadell reached the town in his paddle steamer Lady Augusta, proving the Murray could carry river traffic.
The December market moves to a Saturday evening, running from 4pm to 9pm as a special twilight market.
Two organisers coordinate the market and list their contact numbers and an email address on its website, and stallholders can apply for a stall through the same site.
