The Tasmanian Produce Market trades every Saturday morning in Kangaroo Bay Park at Rosny Park, on Hobart's eastern shore. It is run by the organisation behind the Hobart Twilight Market, the long-standing waterfront night market at Brooke Street Pier, which brought its stallholder network across the river to a daytime produce format.

A waterfront park rather than a car park

The setting is the thing here. Kangaroo Bay Park sits on the water with views back across the Derwent to kunanyi / Mount Wellington, which is a markedly different backdrop to the sports-ground and car-park sites most weekly produce markets occupy. The stall mix is deliberately tight: fresh produce first, then locally crafted small-batch drinks, then a small selection of design stalls rather than a long craft aisle.

That combination makes it an easy stop for families who want more than fifteen minutes of patience out of a produce run.
