About this market
Beaufort Town Market is listed on the Pyrenees House website, which describes it as a cornerstone of the community for decades. It went into recess in 2022 and was relaunched in 2023 or 2024, and it now runs as a set of seasonal markets in the town's Memorial Rose Garden.
Five seasonal dates, two of them after dark
The 2026 calendar has a summer market on Saturday 28 February, an Easter market on Saturday 4 April, a winter market on Friday 17 July, a spring market on Saturday 31 October and a Christmas market on Friday 4 December. The Saturday markets run from 9am to 1pm, while the winter and Christmas markets run from 5pm to 9pm.
The stall list includes local craft, plants, collectibles, wine and spirits and fresh produce, and the market runs free kids games and activities.

Where it is and what to know
The market is held in the Beaufort Memorial Rose Garden, opposite the historic band rotunda, near the corner of Havelock and Livingston Streets. Beaufort sits on the Western Highway midway between Ararat and Ballarat, in the Pyrenees Shire, and had a population of 1,712 at the 2021 census. Gold was discovered nearby in 1852, and the Fiery Creek diggings that followed from 1854 supported four townships, including Beaufort. The town's Court House was built in 1864, so the rose garden sits in a place with real goldfields history. Beaufort's July average maximum is 10.1 degrees Celsius, so rug up for the winter evening market.
The organisers' site does not list the number of stalls, an entry fee or parking details, so check the market's Facebook and Instagram pages for each date. For stallholder questions, contact Pyrenees House at [email protected] or on (03) 5349 3150.
Two of the five 2026 markets are Friday evening markets, running 5pm to 9pm in winter and at Christmas.
Because the market has only five dates a year, it is worth checking the calendar before you plan a trip.
