Sundayz Markets

Sundayz Markets trades on the first Sunday of the month, 8am to 1pm, at Rocks Riverside Park in Seventeen Mile Rocks, about twelve kilometres upriver from the Brisbane CBD. It is a handmade market, so the stalls run to clothing and accessories, woodwork, art, toys, plants and home decor rather than resold goods, with hot food, coffee and cold drinks alongside music and kids' zones.

The park does as much work as the market

Most Brisbane markets borrow a carpark or a street. This one has 26 hectares and 800 metres of river frontage to spread across, which changes the character of the morning: there is shade, there is space between the stalls, and the free play areas mean families stay for hours rather than walking a loop and leaving.
