Urrbrae Barn Market
A school-run market on the first Saturday of the month in the Urrbrae Agricultural High School car park, selling produce from the school farm.

About this market
The Urrbrae Barn Market is run by Urrbrae Agricultural High School on the first Saturday of the month, from 9am to 12pm, in the school car park off Fullarton Road. It sells produce from the school's own farm alongside private stallholders, and the School Council and parents help run it.
A farm school five kilometres from the city
Urrbrae Agricultural High School is in Netherby, about 5 kilometres south-east of the Adelaide city centre, next to the Waite Agricultural Research Institute of the University of Adelaide. It was founded in 1932 through a bequest from pastoralist Peter Waite and is the only comprehensive special interest agricultural secondary school in South Australia. The campus has a 35 hectare farm, wetlands and about 1,500 students.
That farm is what the market sells. School produce listed on the school's page includes chickens, free-range eggs, lamb sausages, olive oil, olives, wine, jam and plants. Coffee, muffins and barbecue sausages are on offer, and farm tours run on market mornings from 9:30am, with the last tour at 11:30am (sign up at the wine stall). Year 10 students lead trail tours of the farm for visiting school groups, and about a third of the campus is wetland. The school enrolled its first two female students in 1972.

Good to know before you go
The market runs from February to December, and the school's 2026 list has no April date and omits September and October, so check the dates with the school on 08 8274 7455 or by email before you go. Stallholders pay $20 per space of roughly 3 by 3 metres, with the fee waived for Urrbrae students.
The school describes the market as an essential fundraising endeavour that depends on volunteers, so buying produce here supports the farm and its students. Use Gate A on Fullarton Road for the car park.
