The Mackay Riverside Market takes the same riverfront the city's farmers market uses on a Wednesday morning and turns it into something quite different twenty-four hours later. It trades every Thursday from 3pm to 7pm at Bluewater Quay, which means it starts in the afternoon heat and finishes after dark, and the last hour of it happens as the sun goes down over the Pioneer River.

An afternoon market that becomes an evening one

Bluewater Quay itself is the reason this works.
