Powerhouse Artisans and Growers Market
A Saturday morning artisans and growers market in the grounds of Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, from 8am to 1pm.

About this market
The Powerhouse Artisans and Growers Market runs every Saturday from 8am to 1pm in the grounds of Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, at 1 Powerhouse Road. The market's Facebook page says it is an artisans and growers market every Saturday at Liverpool Powerhouse, and the page has about 8,500 followers.
From Warwick Farm to the Powerhouse
The market was previously Liverpool's Growers and Foodies Market, which has been running for nearly 30 years, starting at Warwick Farm Racecourse and then moving to Chipping Norton. It relocated to the Casula Powerhouse grounds on Saturday 2 November 2024. Its first week at the new site had more than 30 stallholders, with eggs, a butcher, seasonal vegetables, jams, biscuits, food stalls, dog treats, jewellery, flowers and German pastries.
Market at a glance
The venue has its own history. The building was constructed in 1951 as the Liverpool Powerhouse, one of a number of identical power stations built to meet Sydney's growing winter demand. It shut down in 1976, Liverpool City Council bought it in 1978, and it opened as an arts centre in October 1994. It sits on the banks of the Georges River within the 20 hectare Casula Parklands, next to Casula railway station. Inside, the Koori Floor, designed by artist Judy Watson, has the names of the Tharawal, Gandangarra and Dharug custodians inlaid in stainless steel, and around 150 languages are spoken in Liverpool's community.
Good to know before you go
The council's launch announcement pointed to plenty of parking, good facilities and easy access to public transport at the new site, and noted that visitors can also see the arts centre's exhibitions and eat at the Bellbird Dining and Bar. The market is on Saturdays only.
The market's former sites included Warwick Farm Racecourse and Chipping Norton before it moved to Casula Powerhouse in November 2024.
Opening hours at the launch were reported as 7am to 12pm, while the market's own Facebook page now says 8am to 1pm, so go by the Facebook page. Stallholders apply through the expression of interest form it links.
