About this market
Justins Park hosts the southern end of the Gold Coast beachfront market circuit on the last Sunday of every month, 8am to 2pm. Since March 2026 it has been run by Goodwill Projects as one of three markets under The Coastal Markets name, alongside Broadbeach and Coolangatta.
A market you can walk to along the beach
The site is what makes it. Justins Park sits directly on the Ocean Way path that runs between Burleigh headland and North Burleigh, so a large share of the crowd arrives on foot or by bike as part of a walk rather than by parking and shopping. Stalls lean towards handmade work: jewellery, art, homewares, clothing and gifts, with food vendors and local musicians playing on the grass between them. Entry and parking are both free, dogs are welcome on a leash, and the operator trades rain, hail or shine.
Market at a glance
The last-Sunday rule is worth internalising, because it moves. In a five-Sunday month the market lands on the fifth Sunday, not the fourth, so counting weeks forward from the start of the month is the wrong way to work it out. Count back from the end instead. There is also a change of hands to be aware of.
Art and Craft on the Coast, which ran this market for decades, closed its business on 28 February 2026 with a final Burleigh date on 22 February. The market did not go with it. Goodwill Projects, which describes itself as being in its twentieth year running markets across South East Queensland, took over all three beachfront sites from March 2026 and kept the same days, venues and hours.
Good to know before you go
Dogs, prams and bikes all suit this market, since it is laid out along a foreshore path rather than squeezed into a car park. Timed street parking fills fast on a Sunday morning, so either come early or park further back and walk the Ocean Way in, which is the better experience anyway. Six hours is a generous window by market standards, but the beach crowd builds from mid-morning, so an early start means easier browsing and easier parking. Bring cash for smaller makers and sun protection for a park with limited shade. This is Yugambeh country.
