Berry Village Market

Berry Village Market launched on 29 January 2024, a new monthly addition to a town that already had two other market events, and it found its footing quickly: around 80 boutique stalls now fill the shaded grounds of Berry Bowling Club on the fourth Sunday of every month.

A newer market finds its own lane

Eighty stalls puts it on a genuinely boutique scale, smaller and more curated than the Showground's roughly 200-stall monthly market across town, and the format leans into that: street food and live music running alongside the stalls, in grounds that stay shaded through most of the trading day. Running 10am to 3pm gives it the longest single trading window of Berry's three markets, five hours against the Showground's six and the Farmers' Market's three.

The club venue does more work here than a bare paddock would. Full club facilities sit right alongside the stalls, meaning an ATM, air conditioned indoor space to retreat to, and a Chinese restaurant trading inside the club for anyone who wants a sit-down meal rather than a street food stall. That combination, an outdoor boutique market with an indoor club behind it, is part of what separates the Village Market from Berry's other two.

Fourth Sunday of the month, 10am to 3pm, at Berry Bowling Club, 140 Queen Street. Because it only runs once a month, check the date rather than assuming any given Sunday, and note it is the fourth Sunday specifically rather than the last, which matters in months with five Sundays. Parking is available at the club, and the shaded grounds make it a reasonably comfortable market to visit even on a warm South Coast afternoon. Bring cash as a backstop for the street food stalls.
